Nath Nath is usually worn in major Indian states like Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttrakhand (known as Bulaq), Punjab, etc. Available in a plethora of styles and designs, a nath is worn on one side of the nose. The usual designs of a nath include everything from basic nath with a single stone and the clove-shaped Laung to a big circled nath with elaborate design and embellishments. While in Punjab, a nath is worn only by the brides; women in Rajasthan wear nath on a daily basis. Payal Payal is known by a number of names like paizab, gajra, sankla, chanjar, zanjiri, golusu and kaappu. A payal is usually made of Gold or Silver but nowadays, with an increase demand of fashion jewellery, payals are also being made with metals like Brass, German Silver, etc Kada A kada is a broad bracelet which is worn on either one or both arms. The most famous Indian kadas come from Varanasi (Banaras). In a traditional Banarasi kada, while the inner side is covered with floral designs of Pink enamel, the outer side is encrusted with Diamonds where each of the kada is ornamented by elephants. Traditional kadas usually contains floral and nature motifs encrusted with precious or semi precious stones. Waist Belt Waist belts are usually worn in South India but as the trends are changing, people all across India have started wearing waist belts. The traditional waist belt of South India is known as Oddinayam. It is made with Gold and contains floral motifs. It is encrusted with gemstones like Diamonds, Emeralds, and Rubies. Karanphool Jhumka Karanphool is famous jewellery from Rajasthan. Karanphool means “flower for the ear”, therefore, it consists of heavy jhumkas embellished with floral motifs and pearl chains which can be taken around the ears to support them. Pearl chains minimize the weight of the jhumkas and can be attached to your hair as well. Karanphool is the type of Rajasthani jewellery which was worn during the Mughal era. Nowadays, modern jewellery requirements have led to each Indian region having its own embellishment added to the basic design. Hathphool Hathphool is the traditional jewellery of Rajasthan and it consists of connected chains (usually Kundan) which further connect to 5 rings on 5 fingers. The Hathphool design usually contains floral motifs which are decorated with the use of stones like kundan, polki, etc. It is also known as Panchgala or the jewel for the 5 fingers in Rajasthan.
